A note on acronyms

“PAC” means two different things. We supply both.

In drilling fluids, PAC refers to polyanionic cellulose — a CMC derivative used for fluid-loss control, available in HV and LV viscosity grades. In water treatment, PAC means polyaluminium chloride — an inorganic coagulant. They are not interchangeable. On this page we always mean the cellulose polymer unless stated otherwise.

Additives we supply

The ingredients your mud is built from.

  • Cellulose polymer

    CMC HV / LV

Carboxymethyl cellulose — the workhorse filtration-control and viscosifying polymer in water-based muds.

    Function
Fluid-loss control · Viscosity building (HV) · Shale inhibition (partial)
    Packaging
25 kg bag · 1000 kg big bag · FCL container load
    Spec signals
Degree of substitution 0.75 – 0.95 · API fluid-loss performance to spec · Brookfield viscosity on 1% solution certified per lot
  • Cellulose polymer

PAC HV / LV (polyanionic cellulose)

Polyanionic cellulose — purer, more salt-tolerant CMC derivative for demanding drilling fluids. Not to be confused with polyaluminium chloride.

    Function
    Low-fluid-loss formulations · High-salinity muds · Shale stabilisation support
    Packaging
25 kg bag · 1000 kg big bag · FCL container load
    Spec signals
HV and LV viscosity grades available · Salt-tolerant performance tested · API 13A-conformant grades on request
  • Polysaccharide

    Xanthan gum — oilfield grade

Fermentation-derived biopolymer for rheology and suspension control, stable across wide temperature and salinity ranges.

    Function
Yield-point / low-shear viscosity · Solids suspension in static conditions · Cuttings transport
    Packaging
    25 kg bag · 500 kg / 1000 kg big bag
    Spec signals
Dispersible / non-dispersible grades · Salt and temperature-tolerant variants · API 13A-conformant grades on request
  • Starch

    Pre-gelatinised starch

Modified and pre-gelatinised starches for fluid-loss control, especially at elevated temperature or in saline systems.

    Function
    Fluid-loss at bottom-hole temperature · Salt-saturated mud performance · Cost-effective filtrate reduction
    Packaging
25 kg bag · 1000 kg big bag
    Spec signals
    Temperature-stable to 120 °C+ · Brine-tolerant grades
  • Biocide

    Biocides

Broad-spectrum bactericides for stored fluids, stock tanks and produced water — supplied in compatible drums and IBCs.

    Function
Microbial control in stored muds · H₂S prevention
    Packaging
    200 L drum · 1000 L IBC
    Spec signals
    Food-contact actives available · EU BPR-compliant options
  • Inorganic

PAC — polyaluminium chloride (for produced water)

For produced-water clarification and re-injection treatment — our core water-treatment PAC also serves oilfield wastewater.

    Function
    Oil/solids separation · Re-injection water clarification
    Packaging
    1000 L IBC · Road tanker · Bulk vessel
    Spec signals
Liquid 10% and 18% · EN 883 potable grades available

Logistics

Container loads out of Rotterdam and Antwerp.

We ship to site yards across Australia, Latin America, Africa and South-East Asia, typically in 20-ft FCL containers of big-bag or 25 kg powder. We handle documentation — origin, REACH, SDS, phytosanitary where applicable.
